Welcome to the Bonner County Jury Service website. This website contains important information regarding service for current and future prospective jurors.
The call to jury duty is a high and noble calling. Â Service on a jury is a civic and patriotic obligation that all good citizens should perform. Â Service on a jury affords you an opportunity to be a part of the judicial process, by which legal affairs and liberties of fellow citizens are determined and protected under our form of government. Â For many of you, unless you have served or will serve in the armed forces of our nation, this may be the highest duty of citizenship you will or may ever perform.
JURORS IN RECEIPT OF A JURY SUMMONS: If you are in receipt of a jury summons, please go to https://jury.idaho.gov to complete your questionnaire. Â All jurors regardless of age, former residents, criminal history, medical issues, etc.., must complete and submit their questionnaire. Â If you do not have access to the internet, please complete, sign, and return the paper questionnaire by mail or drop off at the Bonner County Courthouse. Â Please do not use any previous versions of previous version of a Bonner County Juror Questionnaire found online. Â It is strongly recommended to complete your questionnaire online versus mailing the paper questionnaire. Â You will be able to view your status easier on your Idaho Jury account online than through the IVR phone system. Questionnaires may also be completed at the Bonner County Courthouse kiosk. |
JURORS WITH THE FOLLOWING CONCERNS: Medical - If you have a temporary or permanent medical issue, please complete your questionnaire online and click on the Physician's Certificate for Release form on this website. Â A courtesy copy will also be sent to you via email or mail. Â Physician's Certificate of Release forms are due no later than 10 days after receipt of your questionnaire. Â It is also important to update your address on your Driver's License as soon as possible. Undue Hardship - If you are unable to serve during the dates listed on your juror summons, please submit a Deferral Request from your Idaho Jury account. Â You may select an alternate date to reschedule your jury service. Â Jurors are only allowed 1 request for deferral. Â Work is not a valid reason for excusal from jury service. Served within the past 2 years - If you receive a 2nd summons, please provide the Candidate ID number to the Jury Commissioner via email or phone. Â The Jury Commissioner will respond via email or phone after verification. |
STEPS TO DO AFTER YOU SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE: After you click the Submit button on your questionnaire, select the Home button then go to the Service Information tab.  Your status should say Confirmed or Pending. If you do not see a status on your screen, this means your questionnaire did not submit completely or correctly. You will then need to resubmit your questionnaire. Please ensure you keep the stub from the bottom of your juror summons. The information on this stub has your name, Candidate ID number, barcode, and dates of your jury service listed. It also contains the website and IVR phone number to check your status. If you lost or misplaced your stub, please go to the Print Letters tab on your Idaho Jury account. You may either print or take a picture(with your cell phone) of the summons on your computer screen. This will expediate the juror check in process for you and your fellow jurors. If you do not have access to your Candidate ID number, please contact the Jury Commissioner by email, phone, or in person at the Bonner County Courthouse. Prior to the start date of your jury service, please log on to your Idaho Jury account (website or IVR) to check your status. If your status says Paneled, you will need to report at the date and time listed.  If your status still says Confirmed, this means you are on standby. You will not need to report to the Bonner County Courthouse, however you will need to continue to check back. Courtesy updates will be provided via automated message from the EJM system or directly from the Jury Commissioner via email and/or text message. It is important that you monitor your email(including your Spam email) or cell phone 1-12 days before your start date. |
