Treasurer News

The Bonner County Treasurer’s Office would like to remind taxpayers that the second half of 2025 property taxes are due by June 20, 2026.

The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will remain open on Friday, June 19; however, taxpayers are reminded that the United States Postal Service will not be open in observance of the federal holiday. Mailed payments must be postmarked by June 20 to avoid additional fees. Taxpayers are encouraged to mail payments early, as mail from this area is sent to Spokane for postmarking and delays of up to two days may occur.

The Bonner County Treasurer’s Office is located in the Bonner County Administration Building at 1500 Highway 2, Suite 304 (third floor) in Sandpoint.

For added convenience, a secure payment drop box monitored by 24/7 video surveillance is located outside the front entrance of the building, to the right of the entrance doors. The drop box is for check payments only. Payment coupons should be included with payments. If coupons are unavailable, taxpayers should reference parcel numbers on their checks.

Payments may also be made online, in person, or by phone using a credit card, debit card, or electronic check. Processing fees apply. For additional information regarding electronic payments, contact the Treasurer’s Office at 208-265-1433.

Please note that under Idaho Code, late second-half payments will accrue interest retroactive to January 1, 2026. Taxpayers unable to pay the full amount are encouraged to make partial payments before June 20 to help reduce interest charges.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Treasurer’s Office at 208-265-1433 with any questions.
