HOUSEHOLD WASTE 

  • Food scraps

  • Kitchen waste

  • Packaging

  • Clothing

  • Paper

  • Yard waste

  • Glass and plastics

  • Bulky items (furniture, mattresses, etc.)

CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION DEBRIS

  • Structural materials (framing, lumber, wood waste, steel)

  • Interior finishes (drywall, plaster, wall coverings, glass, flooring such as linoleum, hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet)

  • Fixtures (sinks, toilets, pipes, wiring, lighting, doors, windows, cabinets, HVAC systems)

  • Hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, nails, brackets, etc.)

WOOD WASTE 

✅ DO Accept

  • Brush, lumber, leaves, limbs, needles, grass clippings

  • Stumps/rounds (max 4 ft diameter, roots clean of dirt/rocks no longer than 4ft. sections)

  • Wood boats (cut into 4 ft sections, all fluids, batteries, tanks, and non-metal parts removed)

  • Treated posts, utility poles, railroad ties (cut to max 4 ft length)

  • Clean wood with large metal pieces removed

  • Large wood loads we do encourage to go to Idaho Hill, Colburn or Dickensheet

❌ DO NOT Accept in wood disposal

  • Bagged materials, plastic, or trash

  • Wood with bolts, brackets, or concrete attached

METAL

✅ DO Accept

  • Engine blocks (fully drained; all parts removed)

  • Empty barrels (one side open)

  • Tanks (depressurized, valve removed)

  • Clean metal items (no non-metal parts attached)

  • BBQ grills (no ignitors/batteries)

  • Propane refrigerators/freezers

  • Metal boats (cut to 4 ft sections, stripped of non-metal parts)

  • Large metal loads we do encourage to go to Idaho Hill, Colburn or Dickensheet


INERT MATERIAL

✅ DO Accept

  • Clean concrete (including bagged concrete)

  • Bricks, tile, cement blocks

  • Sand and clean dirt (no sod/grass)

❌ DO NOT Accept

  • Concrete with rebar/wire extending more than 4 inches

  • Metal or wood posts not cut flush with concrete

  • Inert material must be taken to Colburn, Dickensheet or Idaho Hill

RECYCLING

  • Aluminum cans

  • Magazines, newspapers, white office paper

  • Flattened cardboard

  • Tin & steel cans → place in metal bins, not aluminum bins

E-WASTE

  • Televisions and computers (hard glass only) see fee schedule

  • Only accepted at full-service sites. 

TIRES

  • All tires are subject to fees (see fee schedule)

  • Place in designated tire bunkers or trailers (location dependent)

  • Equipment tracks: 1 track = 4 tires

  • Only accepted at full-service sites. 

❌ DO NOT

  • Bring tires filled with concrete, foam, or dirt

⚠️ Note

  • Large tires must go to designated bunker locations (Idaho Hill or Colburn)

APPLIANCES

  • Washers, dryers, stoves, water heaters 

  • Please Note: Refrigerators, freezers, AC units (CFC items), ice machines require additional fees

⚠️ Requirements

  • Refrigerators/Freezers must be emptied before drop-off

  • Only accepted at full-service sites. 

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW)

  • Accepted Saturdays (rotating locations; see calendar)

  • Limit: 10 gallons per visit

  • Solid waste pass required

✅ Accepted Items

  • Lead batteries

  • Latex paint

  • Motor oil

❌ DO NOT

  • Bring commercial or out-of-county waste

  • Exit your vehicle (staff will unload)

  • Bring EV or e-bike batteries

💡 Tip

  • Harden latex paint (kitty litter or pellets) and dispose of it in the regular trash

ANIMALS AND LIVESTOCK

  • Under 100lbs: accepted at any site

  • Over 100lbs: Colburn Transfer Site only

  • Contact a veterinarian for euthanasia coordination

ASBESTOS

🚫 NOT accepted at any facility

✅ Requirements if built 1980 or earlier

  • Proof of abatement from a licensed contractor OR

  • Lab confirmation of no asbestos

     If built after 1980 the customer must complete a waste certification form

MEDICAL WASTE

✅ DO Accept

  • From households only-sharps in puncture-proof containers (recommended: solidified with plaster)

❌ DO NOT Accept

  • Any other medical waste

OTHER ACCEPTED WASTE

  • Hot tubs (cut into 4' × 4' pieces)

  • Small amounts of sod (larger loads at Colburn only)

  • Boats/RVs (cut into 4' × 4' sections, stripped of parts and fluids)

UNACCEPTABLE WASTE

  • Out-of-county waste

  • Asbestos

  • Large commercial batteries

  • Commercial hazardous waste

  • Medical Waste

  • Electric vehicle or bike batteries

  • Electric vehicle batteries

  • Electric bike batteries

  • Ammunition

  • Fireworks or explosives
