The Bonner County Noxious Weeds Department is a function required by state statute (Idaho Code - Title 22, Chapter 24).Â
Our mission is to keep Bonner County properties and rights-of-way clean and clear of state listed noxious weeds, in accordance with Idaho Code 22-2405 (County Duties), as well as Bonner County invasive weeds of concern. Â Additionally, in accordance with Idaho Code 22-2405, we maintain ongoing efforts to examine land in the county for noxious weeds in order to detect small infestation noxious weed species and keep them from becoming widespread issues. Â We strive to achieve strong customer service as related to compliance assistance with noxious weeds (Idaho Code 22-2407 - Landowner Duties) via weeds identification, technical assistance--which includes control recommendations, renting herbicide application equipment, facilitating cost share programs and providing public education (continuously throughout the year).
