Bonner County EMS is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) third-service rural/wilderness agency serving the residents and visitors of Bonner County with 9-1-1, critical care and interfacility transports. Our call volume is approximately 4,000 per year.
Bonner County EMS is led by Chief Jeff Lindsey who brings over 25 years of transport EMS experience, most served as a practicing field paramedic. Chief Lindsey leads a group of 31 full-time and 8 part-time EMT's and Paramedics.
BCEMS full-time employees are assigned to three (3) shifts A/B/C. Each shift works a 48/96 rotation meaning, 48 hours on-duty and 96 hours off-duty. Each shift has an EMS Captain/Paramedic assigned, who is responsible for overseeing the entire shift as well as assisting crews when needed.
Bonner County EMS currently has four (4) stations that are staffed 24/7 with a fifth station planned to be open in 2022. BCEMS currently staffs four (4) ALS ambulances 24/7 along with two (2) ALS chase vehicles. Station locations and assignments are as follows:
Bonner County EMS contracts several other agencies in the county to provide EMS response and transport. Current contract partner agencies are Clark Fork Valley Ambulance, Schweitzer Fire District, Priest Lake EMTs and Kootenai County EMS System.
