Public Hearings may be attended in-person, or by teleconference and web-based platform
Starting August 2024 all agendas and minutes for Planning related meetings including but not limited to:  BOCC public hearings, Planning Commission meetings and hearings, Zoning Commission meetings and hearings, Hearing Examiner public hearings, etc. will be posted to the County "Meetings & Events" calendar and will no longer be posted to the links above.
- A public hearing is like a court proceeding
- Staff presents the staff report
- Applicant provides an overview of the project, answers questions from the governing body
- Public testimony
- Testimony in support of the project
- Neutral testimony
- Testimony in opposition to the project
- Public testimony may be limited to 3 minutes
- Exhibits must be numbered prior to testimony. Exhibits will be retained by the county
- Testimony must be specific to the project and code compliance
- Avoid repetition
- Applicant rebuttal. Â No further public testimony allowed after rebuttal
- Public hearing closed; deliberation begins
